The Jack Building

This proposed design responds to a well defined corner lot that is located just beyond the outskirts of the commercial district of Nevis. The design of this hybrid building would accommodate a cafe on the ground floor along with office space within the adjacent horizontal wing and upper floor. This tropical Contemporary building’s expression was elaborated around the historical reference of the vernacular in the town. The traditional elevation with its vertical scale, materiality and rhythmic punctuation of shuttered windows meet the complimentary  curved  facade.
